The Nets Continue to Rise: NBA Daily Recap for Apr 3

The bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff race is turning into the best race as we head down the stretch at season’s end. With tonights win, the Nets have won 6 straight but head into the toughest part of their season, with games against Atlanta (twice), Chicago, and Portland in the coming week.

Washington jumped out to the early lead in the first quarter and the Knicks dominated in the second quarter. The third quarter was owned by the Wizards while the fourth quarter was nearly even but the Wizards coasted to the victory. New York shot a mere 36.9% from the field while the Wizards dominated with 48 assists. Washington was led by Otto Porter with 17 points, Marcin Gortat with 19 points, and Bradley Beal with 18 points. Minnesota ran out in the first and it was a tight second quarter. The second half started out close and Orlando stretched the Timberwolves in the fourth quarter to pick up the victory.
